Connie Lawson, NMBWC member, is the new GFWC South Carolina Chair for the state’s Signature Program: Domestic Violence Awareness & Prevention. At the Summer Session in Columbia, she shared some great information on her focus for 2024-2026, which is Human Trafficking. Specifically, she presented this poster and discussed what she wants clubs in SC to do to encourage and engage their middle and high schools to implement TrafficProofSC. This is the state’s Human Trafficking prevention program to educate teens about the threats and realities of human trafficking. She told club members, prevention is one of the most important tasks we have.
