Club Partners to Feed Local Children

Due to the Covid-19 virus, Horry County schools have had to suspend its operations to help feed students during this national crisis. But other organizations have stepped up to the plate to offer support.

The GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s club has teamed up with two local businesses, Access Medical Center and Atlantic Apothecary, to assist with the urgent food needs of Horry County school children thru local non-profit Back Pack Buddies’ project “Help 4 Kids”.

Club members are collecting non-perishable food items for distribution to children currently suffering food shortages. The club is asking community members to help by making a contribution of much needed food items.

A list of items could include:
Anything non-perishable that can be cooked; canned foods; individual packets of macaroni and cheese; individual bags of chips, cookies, pretzels; pudding cups; spaghetti sauce and noodles; peanut butter and jelly; bread; flavored instant oatmeal; canned pasta; vienna sausage; ramen noodles; cereal; breakfast bars for kids; pop tarts; fruit cups, apple sauce; cans of chicken and tuna; instant rice; water; juice packets; any kind of individual drinks; and money.

Checks can be made to “Help 4 Kids” and can be dropped off along with food items at the Atlantic Apothecary drive-thru window at Access Medical Center located at 3816 Hwy. 17 South in North Myrtle Beach. You will not need to get out of your car and the drive-thru window is open from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday thru Friday and 9 AM to 1 PM on Saturdays.
